Best VR Headset for Android

VR just took a step ahead. HTC has established a new Vive standalone VR headset which does not require a PC a telephone or even a connection .

The present HTC Vive demands the headset to be tethered to some significant PC rig -- however, the Taiwanese firm has cut the cable with its mobile Vive stand alone offering.

Rather than slipping your mobile phone within the headset, the new Vive VR viewer has the room-mapping and display, electricity smarts.

Here is the first standalone headset to utilize Google's Daydream system, which the search giant declared will be accessible for phone/PC-free apparatus during its Google IO occasion.

It is due out in 2019 -- we are still awaiting a HTC Vive standalone release date, but it might find itself on a people's Christmas lists.

It not clear if the new Vive headset will have the ability to run HTC Vive names but our guess is most likely not, since there will not be sufficient power under the hood to encourage them.

There are quite small details on the new headset for the time being, with HTC stating"additional info on Vive's standalone best VR headset review is going to be made available soon, but rest assured it'll be easy, easy-to-use and without any wires to link".

Even though this isn't a HTC Vive two statement, it is a glimpse of what we can expect to see, together with rumors of a wireless PC-powered headset doing the rounds.

We are still awaiting word about the new HTC Vive standalone headphone cost, but the expectation is it will be cheaper -- and approachable to a wider selection of users -- compared to the full size Vive offering.

We'll update this story with additional info once we get it.
